Daniel Bryan is still recovering from his neck surgery, but that doesn't mean the news about the WWE World Heavyweight Champion has slowed down. Current reports state that Bryan was scheduled to return at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view on June 29 prior to his surgery, but the procedure has now cast doubt on that timeline.

Instead, he could return for Battleground or SummerSlam , though only time will tell. Furthermore, the current word is that Bryan's style will be calmed when he returns, possibly permanently. Moves such as missile dropkicks and diving headbutts will likely be gone from his repertoire.

In related news, Bryan could be working with Triple H upon his return. He is scheduled to work at Madison Square Garden against Triple H at a live event on July 12, though this is obviously extremely fluid. The match is also supposedly for Bryan's WWE World Heavyweight Championship, which is another interesting note given that the company might strip him of the belt.

WWE's Plans for Roman Reigns

Wrestlezone.com posted an exclusive report Wednesday to state Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt and Bad News Barrett are three of the favorite wrestlers of Vince McMahon, Triple H, Kevin Dunn and others. The site describes the situation as "a race to see which of those three gets the world title first."

Wrestlezone expands on this to say Reigns "is almost guaranteed" that his first world title win will be special and done at a WrestleMania, likely at WrestleMania 31 next year. Two possible opponents are Brock Lesnar and The Rock.

WWE could have other plans for Lesnar at Mania, and the site reports The Rock has told Vince McMahon personally he wants to work with Roman Reigns before he retires. If this all falls into place, this means The Rock would have to be the champion at Mania, and Wrestlezone's source said, "Yes, it would likely happen at Royal Rumble and remember he does technically have a rematch from when he lost the title to Cena."

As always, this is all subject to change, particularly because WrestleMania 31 is nearly a year away.
