BOOM! Studios Announces Andy Beall, Bob Scott, & Vicki Scott’s ‘Peanuts: The Beagle Has Landed, Charlie Brown!’

After stealing Linus' favorite blanket and making his way into Japan, the world's coolest beagle finally goes up into space. Writers Andy Beall, Bob Scott, and artist Vicki Scott take Snoopy beyond the third planet from the sun in Peanuts: The Beagle Has Landed, Charlie Brown!

Writer/artist Charles M. Schulz created the most popular and influential comic strip, Peanuts, starring Charlie Brown, the boy in the yellow shirt, and his pet beagle, Snoopy. Rising to critical acclaim, the cast of Peanuts grew with Peppermint Patty, Pig-Pen, and the little yellow birdie known as Woodstock. Readers would see Snoopy on top of his doghouse, typing away his random thoughts onto his unpublished novel.

This will be the third time that KaBOOM!, an imprint of BOOM! Studios, has published an original Peanuts graphic novel. Based on the animated special, Happiness Is A Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown, follows Linus' insecurities with his blankie, Lucy's unrequited love for Schroeder, and Charlie Brown's kite-flying woes. In Peanuts: It's Tokyo, Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the gang are representing the United States in Japan. And now, KaBOOM! promises to take Chuck's best friend above and beyond the stars in Peanuts: The Beagle Has Landed, Charlie Brown!

Plot Synopsis:

Charlie Brown and the gang have got space on the brain and Snoopy leads the way as the World Famous Astronaut. While the kids play space, Snoopy has got troubles of his own with The Cat Next Door, who has taken Snoopy's supper dish! Will our favorite beagle get his dish back in time for dinner or will he have to travel to the moon on an empty stomach?
