A new member will be joining the mutant superhero team. Miles Morales, the Ultimate Spider-Man, will be the newest member tagging along for the ride in All-New X-Men #32.
In Marvel's All-New X-Men comics, the original founding members of the superhero teams time-traveled to the future, thinking their future selves were in dire need of help. It actually turned out the team was tricked and they are stuck in a different timeline. After the events of The Trial of Jean Grey, Cyclops disbanded from the group and headed off into outer-space with his father, who happens to be a space pirate.
On his official Tumblr, writer Brian Michael Bendis posts the cover for All-New X-Men #32. Artist Sara Pichelli illustrates the teasing opener with the Ultimate Spider-Man's appearance. So does Miles Morales jump from the Ultimate Universe into another dimension, like he did in Cataclysm?
Bendis writes, "This is real!"
The cover teases Miles being surrounded by Iceman, Beast, Jean Grey, X-23, and Kitty Pryde. Most likely, the team is in the Danger Room, training to use their powers for the next mission.
The cover is a nice homage to artist John Byrne and Terry Austin's The Uncanny X-Men #139. Both covers warn the new recruit, "Hope you survive the experience!"
How is Miles Morales joining the X-Men when he isn't a mutant? Spider-Man's powers were stumbled upon, he wasn't born with them. In a twisted version of Parker's origin story, Morales was bitten by a radioactive spider recreated in a lab. Kitty Pryde can phase through walls because she had the ability since birth.
We await news on the official release date for All-New X-Men #32. Readers, are you excited to see Miles Morales joining the X-Men?
