The saga of CM Punk's exit from WWE has gone on for months thanks in large part to fans who will not stop discussing it and, admittedly, reports that won't stop covering it. But for the first time in quite a while, we have word from the man himself about his absence from the company.

Red Eye Chicago posted an interview with Punk on Thursday in which it asked the 35-year-old what it's like to be retired at such a young age. He also talked about painting a special chair to commemorate Wrigley Field's 100th anniversary.

"It feels good. It's a lot easier when you hook up with organizations like the Cubs and being friends with some of the team members. It isn't hard to support their charities. Plus I get to do fun stuff like bowl and paint chairs and play whiffle ball with Bill Murray.

It was super fun and for a great cause. You've got athletes and actresses and musicians and all kinds of people painting chairs. I'm super happy to be a part of it."

So there you have it. Punk officially classifying his status as "retired." And he can paint! Who knew?

In other news, The Wrestling Observer reports the Undertaker is still in rough shape after his match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30 on April 6; however, there is no indication at this time that Taker would not be ready and available to work in some capacity at WrestleMania 31. Furthermore, some higher ups in WWE still feel that Lesnar's victory to conquer the streak was a bad idea and that Vince McMahon planned it long before he ever told anyone about it.

What do you think of Punk's comments and the Undertaker's status? Let us know in the comments below.
