The June 2, 2014 edition of WWE's Monday Night Raw emanates live from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis and begins with Evolution in the ring. Triple H (with a black eye) says everyone thinks The Shield has won, but the war is not over until The Shield is gone, and he promises that will happen tonight.
Batista grabs the microphone and says he is done with The Shield. He wants the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match he was promised when he rejoined the company. Triple H says he has a plan, but Batista does not care. HHH points out that Daniel Bryan is injured and even if he weren't, Batista would probably choke anyway. Hunter apologizes but says no one gets anything until The Shield no longer exists. Batista says he understands and he quits. He does a queen wave and leaves. Triple H is irate and yells at him to go back to Hollywood but not to come back when he flops.
Rob Van Dam and Sheamus defeat Cesaro and Bad News Barrett. Paul Heyman is on commentary for this match, but he gets involved when he pulls Cesaro out of the ring before Sheamus can nail him with a Brogue Kick. They leave up the ramp and RVD nails Barrett with a Five Star Frog Splash for the win.
Damien Sandow comes out pretending to be Lance Stephenson of the Indiana Pacers. He puts on a display of his "skills" until the Big Show's music hits. Sandow challenges him to score on him, so Big Show throws the basketball at his stomach, knocks him out and then breaks the rim with a dunk.
Bo Dallas and Kofi Kingston have their match that didn't happen at Payback. Bo says the Miami Heat beat the Indiana Pacers in the playoffs because everyone on the team, especially LeBron James, Bo-lieved. He beats Kofi and goes to shake his hand, but Kofi denies him.
Stephanie McMahon comes to the ring and calls Daniel Bryan selfish because he would not surrender the title. She says he stood impotently by while Brie fell on the sword. She says she showed restraint when Brie shoved her a few weeks ago, and she got a slap in the face in return. Stephanie says she'll live, but she wonders if Bryan can live with himself when he looks in Brie's eyes every morning.
Stephanie says Bryan, if able, will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against Kane in a Stretcher Match at Money in the Bank. If he can't, then the Money in the Bank Ladder Match will be for the vacated title. Stephanie says she can't understand why the people still chant Yes, and John Cena's music cuts her off.
Stephanie says the crowd likes Cena as much as they like her. She congratulates him on his victory over Bray Wyatt last night, and he thanks her but says Wyatt is not gone. Cena says the situation with the title has gotten out of hand. He talks about when he had to surrender the championship because of an injury. Stephanie says he knew what was best for business, and Cena says she is right that the fans deserve a fighting champion.
He says no one person is bigger than the title, including a "spoiled, jealous egomaniac named Stephanie McMahon." Cena says he knows she doesn't like Daniel Bryan, but he praises him. He points out how Bryan beat him for the title but the Authority took it from him every time. Cena says he gave up the title because he knew he would get another shot, but Bryan doesn't think he will.
Stephanie says Bryan is a B+ and he cannot physically compete right now and she doesn't understand what people don't get about that. She says she has to make the best decisions for business no matter how unpopular, but Cena says she is doing a terrible job. He gives her a terrible job evaluation as does the crowd. They also have some amazing back-and-forth about Stephanie's breast implants.
Stephanie books Cena to face THE DEMON KANE on the spot. She says payback's a bitch, "but then again, so am I."
The match begins and Cena wins by DQ when Kane refuses to answer the referee's five count in the corner. After the bell, he throws Cena into the steel steps. He goes for a Tombstone on the stairs but Cena counters and then flings the steps at him. Cena walks up the ramp but Kane goes nuts and starts rearranging some furniture at ringside.
Renee Young catches up with Randy Orton backstage, and Orton says things got heated and Batista went home. He and Triple H then had a discussion and Orton is still the face of the WWE. He is going to prove it tonight because he has a match with Roman Reigns.
Alicia Fox and Aksana beat Nikki Bella in a handicap match when Alicia hits a scissors kick. They demolish her outside the ring after the match.
The Wyatt Family cuts off the proceedings and an empty rocking chair appears on the TitanTron. Erick Rowan and Luke Harper say they will take up Bray's cause tonight against the Usos.
Adam Rose defeats Jack Swagger (w/Zeb Colter) with the Party Foul.
The Usos are backstage and they say they had fun at Payback. They say they will handle their business in the ring against Harper and Rowan tonight. The match begins after a commercial break and Rowan eventually earns the pin.
Alberto Del Rio defeats Dolph Ziggler in a Money in the Bank qualifying match with the Cross Arm Breaker.
Goldust and Sin Cara (who Cody Rhodes picked as his brother's new tag team partner) take on Rybaxel and Curtis Axel picks up the win for team when he plants Sin Cara with a hangman's facebuster.
Lana comes out and introduces Rusev, who comes out in a suit waving a Russian flag, for a special ceremony. Surprisingly, Rusev just receives his award and the ceremony goes off without a hitch. No interruptions or anything.
The Shield hit the ring and Dean Ambrose says Payback was their biggest challenge to date, but they swept Evolution. Seth Rollins says The Shield adapted, while Evolution perished. Earlier tonight, the whole world witnessed their implosion. Rollins says last night Evolution was not one unit like The Shield. Roman Reigns says they were not brothers, but the men standing in the ring are brothers. He calls Orton to the ring so he can break his jaw.
Orton comes out to the ring with Triple H, who is in a suit and holds a sledgehammer. He says there is always a Plan B, at which point Rollins smashes Reigns with a chair. Ambrose stares in shock and Rollins brutalizes him with the chair. He continues to hit both of them on the ground until he breaks the chair, then he curb stomps Ambrose on another chair.
Orton then enters the ring with a chair and beats up Ambrose and Reigns. He RKOs Reigns on the chair. Rollins, Orton and Triple H stand tall in the ring and Triple H mouths "I win." He lays the sledgehammer across Reigns' body as the show goes off the air.
