The next title in the Arkham gaming series, Batman: Arkham Knight, won't be coming out later in 2014 as we thought from previous reports. According to Rocksteady Studios, the developers' triumphant return to this franchise will het shelves in 2015. Though this release date delay is dismaying, we do have a brand new Batmobile trailer to share with you!

Check out the Batmobile in action with some great special features in the video right here:

See! The news wasn't all that bad!

But the release date is in fact pushed back to 2015, as we learned from Rocksteady Brand Marketing Producer Dax Ginn in a recent press conference held in late May.

"Awesome takes time. Now Batman: Arkham Knight is totally awesome," Ginn explained, according to Kotaku. "The thing about awesome, though, is awesome takes time. And totally awesome takes a lot of time. So in collaboration with our colleagues at Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics, we have decided to extend the development time of Batman: Arkham Knight. Now, the very simple reason for doing this is to ensure we are delivering the awesome level of quality that Batman fans and gamers expect from this, the final episode and the epic conclusion to the Rocksteady Arkham trilogy. The Dark Knight will face his ultimate challenge in Batman: Arkham Knight now to be released in 2015."

For now we just have to wait until the game's official release, but it looks like Rocksteady is ready to keep us happy with new footage and teasers until then.
