After being caught on camera shouting a homophobic slur at a paparazzo, 22 Jump Street star Jonah Hill spent most of his interviews to promote the release of new comedy with Channing Tatum to apologize for his comments. So when he appeared on The Colbert Report last night, we expected the same apology, but host Stephen Colbert wanted a much different apology from Hill.

According to this interview, Stephen has had "Moves Like Jagger" by Maroon 5 stuck in his head for the last three years, and since Jonah is a friend of lead singer Adam Levine, the Comedy Central host wanted some sort of apology for that fact. All joking aside, Jonah said Levine is a great guy and that the song is pretty catchy. Colbert seemed to accept this as an apology.

You can check out this funny clip here, which also dives into the upcoming movie and Hill's costar Tatum:

Earlier in the week, Hill appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where he gave a heartfelt apology to the audience about what had happened over the weekend.

"There was a paparazzi guy and he was antagonizing me and calling me names, attacking me personally, my family personally, and I was genuinely hurt by this, and made angry by this," Hill explained. "And in response, I wanted to hurt him back, and I said the most hurtful word that I could think of at that moment."

"I didn't mean this in the sense of the word, you know? I didn't mean it in a homophobic way," Hill went on, almost breaking down. "I think that, um, that doesn't matter. How you mean things doesn't matter. Words have weight and meaning, and the word I chose was grotesque. And, you know? No one deserves to say or hear words like that."
