'Pretty Little Liars' Starlet Lucy Hale Credits Taylor Swift As Her 'Cool' Country Inspiration, Made IT Ok To 'Talk Sh*t About Your Ex-Boyfriend'

While we're desperate to hear more about season five of Pretty Little Liars, the series' star Lucy Hale is also busy with her country music career and the release of her new album, The Road Between. In a recent interviewing from earlier this week, the multitalented starlet opened up about her music, her show and even Taylor Swift! Find out what she said here!

"People automatically thought, 'She's doing country, she's going to be wearing gingham and cowboy boots and cowboy hats.' That's not my style. As the country sound has evolved, so has the fashion," she said, according to Hollywood Life. 

Speaking of country, Hale revealed that she looks up to Taylor Swift as a great role model in her genre and in terms of romance and relationships, too.

"I don't really keep in touch with many of my ex-boyfriends," she said, revealing her album might have some portions about her relationships. "[T]here are some digs in the album for sure."

Whenever we think of digs on ex-boyfriends, we think Swift! Hale went on to explain why Taylor is just so great.

"Taylor's untouchable," she said. "She made country quote-unquote 'cool.' And she made it OK to talk about your problems. And be vulnerable. And talk sh*t about your ex-boyfriend. That's so fun! Everyone wants to do that."

Don't worry though; Hale also spoke about Pretty Little Liars.

"Aria, out of all the girls, is a risk-taker," she explained. "It's helped me break out of my comfort zone."

It's always nice to see a young actress take some pointers from the character she portrays, especially when it works out to better her as a person!
