Tracy Morgan Update: Truck Driver Responsible For Car Pile Up Turns Himself In; Driver Charged With Death By Auto

MStars has learned that Kevin Roper, 35 the man driving the semi-truck that hit comedian Tracy Morgan's limo bus, killing comedian Jimmy 'Mack' McNair has been charged and has turned himself in.

We previously reported that Morgan, and other comedians were involved in an accident early Saturday morning, when the limo they were riding in flipped over on the highway, after being hit by a semi-truck.

Roper has been charged with 1 count of death by auto and 4 counts of assault by auto, and has now been released after making the $50k bail.

Reports have said that Roper was apparently "dozing" off and didn't see the cars stopped ahead of him, swerving at the last minute. The truck driver hit Morgan's limo, a 2012 Mercedes Benz Sprinter and another tractor-trailer, which hit an SUV that hit additional cars.

MStars has been keeping up with this terrible accident. Morgan has said to be listed still in critical condition, but one source has revealed that Morgan is conscious.

Morgan's ex wife revealed that "he's not in good shape," but that he is in stable condition, though still critical. As a result of the accident Morgan suffered a broken leg, and several other injuries.

As for comedian, Harris Stanton his status has been positive and he has now recovered being released from the hospital, but Jeff Millea and Ardie Fuqua are still receiving treatment.
