After the horrifying events of last week involving two 12-year-old girls stabbing their classmate around 19 times apparently inspired by the Internet meme "Slender Man," a woman this week has blamed a recent attack on the same character. According to reports, her daughter, who was dressed as the Internet character, attacked this woman.

"I came home one night from work and she was in the kitchen waiting for me and she was wearing a mask - a white mask," the woman said. "She had her hood up and had her hands covered with her sleeves and the mask. She was someone else during that attack."

"[She] mentioned playing a role. [I] got the feeling she was playing a role. It didn't feel like her at all," she added. "We found things that she had written and she made reference to Slender Man. She also made references to killing. She even created a world for Slender Man in the game mine craft."

After last week's terrifying story of the two young girls stabbing their classmate in order to appease or bring out this "Slender Man" character, that they believed lived in their neighborhood, the mother in this week's news put it together that her child was maybe also influenced by the same character.

Meanwhile, the daughter in question in a juvenile facility for her mental illness and has yet to bring up the "Slender Man" since. The mother, who has remained anonymous, believes that parents should watch what their kids do on the Internet and what gets into their heads. Otherwise something as terrible as this could happen.
