Step into the greatest show on Earth.

The cast and crew behind the spooky series American Horror Story are gearing up to bring fans the fourth installment of the critically acclaimed hit. Coming off of the high that was Coven, the new season hopes to capitalize on the success of the most watched season in AHS history.

Set in Jupiter, Florida, the new episodes will follow returning cast members Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, and Angela Bassett, along with many others, as they go to drastic measures to keep their dying carnival in business.

It has been a pretty dry spell since Coven casted it's last enchantment on viewers earlier this January, but fear not because we have some scoop from Sarah Paulson on all things freaky.

At a screening and Q&A last week for the past season of the show, Paulson reveals that when she read the first script for the Freak Show two words immediately came to mind, "Holy S**t."

"I feel like that's the appropriate reaction you want when you read the first script of American Horror Story," the actress explained with a laugh. "So it's very exciting and totally nerve-wracking in the best way because you think, 'How the hell am I going to pull this off?!' And as an actor, I think that's an exciting thing to feel."

Paulson has had to do some crazy things during her time on AHS, which makes us wonder, what doesn't she think she'll be able to pull off this time around?

"I've had live snakes on my body. I've had to feign masturbation on television, which my father would have to watch. I had to simulate abortion, I had to breastfeed one of my best friends who is a 35-year-old man," the actress jokes.

"I mean you name it and I've had to do it on American Horror Story. There's nothing I won't do at this point-and that's what's terrifying."

As for the tone of the show, the Emmy nominated actress reveals that it will be "A kind of beautiful hybrid between Coven and Asylum."

"There's going to be a little bit of a richer and potentially darker tone the way Asylum had, but with the humor infused from Coven," Paulson explains. "When you add Kathy Bates to the story, she's so funny, and Emma Roberts was so funny last year as Madison, I just think it's going to be a really beautiful mix of both."

Sound like absolute perfection, if you ask us.
