HBO will air the Season 4 finale of Game of Thrones, entitled "The Children," this Sunday night. The 66-minute episode, the longest in the show's history, will visit each of the main players in Westeros and undoubtedly leave fans counting the days until the Season 5 premiere.
Zap2It has posted some new photos from the finale, which you can view here. The pictures include Arya and The Hound, Dany in Meereen and more.
In related news, Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss issued a statement about the finale and most definitely did not mince their words when previewing the final Season 4 installment.
"It's the best finale we've ever done, bar none," they said (via EW.com). "The performances from our cast, the direction from Alex Graves, the VFX work, the new [music] cues from Ramin Djawadi-all of it came together in perhaps the finest hour we've produced. We're immensely proud of 'The Children.' And a little intimidated by the episode, because now we have to get back to the business of season five and figure out a way to top it."
The fate of Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) is of course a high priority, but the final hour will likely touch on all the major players before the 66-minute episode ends. Another item of note is Jon Snow's quest to take out Mance Rayder (Ciarán Hinds), the leader of the Wildling army.
