Showtime's Homeland continues to build its roster for Season 4, as the show has now added Smash alumnus Raza Jaffrey and King & Maxwell actor Michael O'Keefe.

The Hollywood Reporter reports Jaffrey, who played Karen's boyfriend Dev on the NBC musical drama Smash, would have a significant recurring role in Season 4 as Aasar Khan, a distinguished lieutenant-colonel in the Pakistani intelligence service who clashes with Carrie (Claire Danes).

O'Keefe, meanwhile, will recur as deputy station chief John Redmond, who is second in command to Corey Stoll's character. The actor previewed his role to the "Spoiler Chat" column at E! Online:

"Prepare to meet a major new player in season four as House of Cards star Corey Stoll is set to join the series. 'I'm the station chief in Pakistan and up-and-coming in the agency,' Stoll previewed for us. 'I think that's all I can say, I'm sorry!' OK, he did spill a bit more, like who he will be sharing a lot of scenes with: 'I am working with Claire Danes,' he confirmed."

The show has also added Life of Pi star Suraj Sharma in a recurring role as Aayan Ibraham, "a Pakistani medical student who crosses paths with Carrie Mathison " according to EW.com

Bored to Death's Laila Robins has also joined Homeland as series regular Martha Boyd, the United States Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Season 4 "will find Carrie assigned to one of the most volatile and dangerous CIA stations in the Middle East where she is back on the front lines in the war on terror."
