Jimmy Kimmel is back with his hilarious "Mean Tweets."
The late night host moved his show to a primetime slot to coincide with the NBA Finals, and he invited some of our favorite basketball stars, both past and present, to stop by and read some hysterically awful tweets about themselves.
Amar'e Stoudemire was the first one up to read the social media hate, quoting Twitter user @aexl_G13, "Can't lie, Amare Stoudemire looks homeless." He wasn't the only one getting slammed on, Paul George also got some heat, reading, "I would kill my parents if they named me Paul George... that's an ugly ass name."
The Houston Rockets, seemed to be an easy target as two of their players, Dwight Howard and Jeremy Lin, read tweets from the hot seat. "Dwight Howard wears panties with leg warmers," one user wrote, while another commented, "Jermy lin need to git the weight room," to which the point guard replies, "You need to get the spellcheck."
Lin wasn't the only one to fight back on the tweets either; Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry tries to pretend he's upset by the tweet, "Stephen Curry's facial hair is a little pubeyyyy. And while we're on the subject, your teeth need some work," but can't manage to stop from laughing about it.
While some of the tweets were more lightheartedly funny, some were downright cruel; especially the one that Boston Celtics' Kris Humphries received.
@DavidMateDi tweets, "@KrisHumphries **** YOU! You're so pathetic! Seriously kill yourself please. XX."
Ouch David!
Other notable players featured in the clip include Philadelphia 76ers' Michael Carter- Williams, Sacramento Kings' DeMarcus Cousins, Lost Angeles Clippers' DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul, and Denver Nugget's Nate Robinson. Retired players that took time out to get in on the fun included Dikembe Mutombo, and Jalen Rose.
