Fox has released the latest clip, featuring the villains of the upcoming Batman series, Gotham. Viewers will recognize the major Dark Knight baddies, such as Penguin and Catwoman, and are introduced to a new character played by Jada Pinkett-Smith (Hawthorne).
Though close-ups, we meet a young Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova), Oswald Copplepot (Robin Lord Taylor) and the mob boss Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith). Because this is a prequel series, we're going to see how these characters become Batman's greatest villain. We'll watch as Selina grows up to become Catwoman and how Copplepot earned the name, "The Penguin."
Interestingly, Fish Mooney is the only character in the video who's not from the comics. In the DC Universe, the mob bosses are wiped out by the freaks of Gotham. Or maybe Mooney is an amalgam of characters put together for the show.
In the short video, Ben McKenzie, in the role of Jim Gordon, narrates, "You have to ask. How will a little girl, a low-level thug, and a business woman become the most dangerous villains around? Simple answer. They all got their start in this city."

Towards the end, McKenzie appears with Donal Logue (Harvey Bullock) and finishes the narration, "And it's up to us to stop them."
As reported here, there is also an open casting call for Gotham. Maybe you could be a background extra and be in the same scene with Mooney Fish. You never know; it could happen.
Gotham is slated to premiere in the fall on Fox. Readers, are you excited to see the premiere of the Batman prequel TV series?
