Former Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa gave his first interview since The Hollywood Reporter confirmed he would portray Aquaman in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. So what did the actor have to say on Jimmy Kimmel Live about the role now that it's moving from rumor to fact?

Not much, apparently, as Momoa still treats it as a rumor. When Kimmel showed him a print out of a report confirming his participation in the movie, Momoa only replied, "That would be pretty exciting, what do you think? We'll just have to wait. We'll just have to wait and see." Check out the clip below:

The Hollywood Reporter claimed Momoa would appear in Dawn of Justice and then take on a larger role in Justice League, which will reportedly shoot back to back with Batman V. Superman.

HitFix claimed over the weekend it knows how and why Aquaman would appear in the movie. The final act of Man of Steel features a titanic battle between Superman and General Zod in which the villain uses something called a World Engine to try and terraform the planet into a new Krypton. Superman destroys the engine in the Indian Ocean and then resumes the battle with Zod in Metropolis, which suffers extreme damage.

It seems clear by the end of the film that Superman must deal with the consequences of the fight, and Aquaman is apparently not too happy about his activity in the water.

"Someone else who's not particularly happy about what happened in that film is Aquaman. I'm not sure if that's the actual name they'll use or not, but what we're hearing is that he is not pleased about the World Engine and what it did to the Indian Ocean. He will not have a major role in the film, but he will make an appearance, and it definitely sets him up to return once Snyder gets to Justice League."
