Joan Rivers is coming out with a new Hollywood "satire" book deemed "Diary of a Mad Diva" - and apparently, "Twilight" sweetheart Kristen Stewart is NOT happy about it.
The "Fashion Police" comedianne allegedly slams K-Stew in the novel, insinuating that the 24-year-old starlet only gets movie roles because she sleeps with directors. As Mstars previously reported:
The legendary 81-year-old funny-woman isn't holding anything back in "Diary of a Mad Diva!"
Rivers disses a slew of big-name Hollywood stars in her upcoming book, including Robert Pattinson's infamous ex.
Check out this shocking excerpt from the book, as originally reported by The New York Post:
"Many stars only do one thing well. Of course, the best one-trick pony is Kristen Stewart, who got a whole career by being able to juggle directors' balls."
Ouch! But sort of true... right?
Obviously, Rivers is referring to K-Stew's controversial fling with "Snow White And The Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders. This romantic affair ultimately led to the sad demise of Robsten.
Wonder if R-Patz is peeved? He's no longer together with Stewart, but the duo still keep in touch. Some Robsten fans still hope that they'll eventually get back together.
Well, K-Stew isn't the only one Rivers bad-mouths in "Diary Of A Mad Diva" -
"No one is allowed to dress up anymore during Award Season. The networks have new decency guidelines, which insist that no more breasts, buttocks or genitalia show. Luckily, because of celebrities like Pharrell and his stupid hat, we'll still be able to see a-holes."
"It's all over the news that Angelina Jolie had a double mastectomy to prevent getting cancer. I think Paris Hilton should... step up to the plate and try to prevent STDs. It would be so easy for her. All she would have to do is have her knees fused together."
So, entertaining enough to go buy the new book?
Stewart supposedly responded to Rivers' "slut" remarks - by threatening to sue!
According to TMZ, K-Stew's lawyer recently contacted the former Daytime Emmy Award winner, saying they'd sue her for defamation unless Rivers removed her "rude" comments. However, reps for the former "Tonight Show" host insist that in her prologue, Rivers "makes it clear it's all for laughs."
The book (due out sometime next month) may be satirical, but Rivers' comments about Stewart hit pretty close to truth...
Anyway, a source tells the popular gossip webloid that Stewart's people apparently "backed down" - there's been no more legal talk since the initial threat.
As for Rivers - she refuses to change anything. Check out her candid (and rather explicit) explanation here.
