Billy Joel to the rescue!

The "Piano Man" singer did his good deed for the day as he came to the aid of a 65-year-old woman that had taken a tumble as she was trying to cross the street in the village of East Hamptons.

Joel, who was cruising around his town on his motorcycle, spotted the woman laying face down in the road and came to her aid.

The woman appeared to be on her way back from shopping as Billy helped her pick up her bags. He waited with her until emergency responders arrived to help Joel move the woman over to a bench on the sidewalk.

Dressed in a baseball hat, leather jacket, and jeans, the singer stayed by the woman's side for a while as he talked to her and made sure that she was okay.

It is not known at this time what caused the elderly woman to stumble, but she appears to be doing fine by the photo which were taken at the scene. The image shows her sitting upright while EMS provider take care of her.
