Congrats to Lana Del Rey who has just secured her first ever Number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with her newest album Ultraviolence.

The singer sold 182,000 copies of the album during the weekend ending June 22, Nielsen SoundScan reports. Not only did her album debut on the top of the charts but this is also the best selling week for the indie-pop darling ever.

Del Rey also becomes the highest charting female since Beyonce sold 310,000 copies of her self-titled album during the week ending Dec 29.

This is Lana's second full album following the release of her debut Born to Die which debuted and peaked at number 2 on the charts. She nearly tripled the first week sales for that which sold 77,000 units back in February 2012. The songstress also has two EP which have charted including her self-titled one, and 'Paradise" peaking at number 20 and number 10 respectively.

The singer is taking the less is more approach when it comes to promoting her latest effort. While most singers would be performing and giving interviews on TV, Lana has steered clear of that. In fact, her last performance on the air was during American Idol back in 2012. Lana is more old-fashioned, sticking to giving magazine interviews, but even when she does those she limits it to just a few media outlets.

Her debut album has gone on to sell 1.1 million copies as of February 2014.
