Katy Perry Is Number One!! The 'Birthday' Singer Named Top Certified Digitial Artist Of All Time By RIAA

Eat it up and crown it!

Talk about being the Queen of Pop. Katy Perry has broken yet another record today becoming the top digital artist of all time.

The singer, who has only been around since 2008, has made quite the name for herself in the last six years. Having started off as someone who kissed a girl and liked it, this bubbly singer has evolved into so much more, and is proving wrong all those people that thought she would simply be a one-hit wonder.

On June 25, Perry was honored at the RIAA ceremony in Washington D.C. at the Verizon Center, where she was crowned the new RIAA Gold & Platinum Program's top digital artist of all time.

Over her short career she has already managed to accumulate a whooping 72 million digital downloads, which takes into account both downloads and digital streams. Katy surpasses the next closest artist to her by more than 20 million downloads.
