The Season 4 finale of HBO's Game of Thrones aired only recently and the Season 5 is still a long way off, but that of course will not stop fans from thinking about new and returning characters for next season. According to a new report, one of those characters could be the Faceless Man named Jaqen H'ghar.
The German agency for actor Tom Wlaschiha (via Spoiler TV) said "the actor is shooting a 2014 episode of the crime solving series entitled, Borowski und die armen Kinder von Gaarden and after that, in August, he'll begin filming on Game of Thrones. The agency notes that Tom is in the main cast."
Game of Thrones fans last saw Jaqen in Season 2 when he gave Arya his special iron coin and imparted to her the words "Valar Morghulis." Those words of coruse helped her gain passage on a ship to Braavos in the Season 4 finale.
Interestingly, fans have expected him to return in the books, but George R.R. Martin has not written him back in yet; however, the show is starting to diverge significantly from the books, so it's possible he could come back next season.
In something of the reverse to this story, fans expected Lady Stoneheart to return in the show in the Season 4 finale as she did in the books, but she did not appear. Actress Michelle Fairley spoke to EW.com and said she was not even aware of the fans' expectations, and also said Catelyn Stark is dead. But would she like to return as Lady Stoneheart?
"You respect the writers' decision. I knew the arc, and that was it," she said. "They can't stick to the books 100 percent. It's impossible-they only have 10 hours per season. They have got to keep it dramatic and exciting, and extraneous stuff along the way gets lost in order to maintain the quality of brilliant show."
Do you think Jaqen will return in Season 5? Let us know in the comments below.
