Get ready to take an even bigger bite out of the big apple.
The Real Housewives of New York are looking to expend their franchise in a pretty interesting way. While many of the other Real Housewives spinoff's focus on the actually housewives of the series, New York is taking a different approach.
RadarOnline has learned that Aviva Drescher's 76-year-old father and his 25-year-old fiancée will be headlining the new show. While the main focus will be on George Teichner and bride-to-be Dana Lavette Cody, we can assume that Aviva, everyone's favorite pot stirrer, will definitely be making a few appearances.
"Even though the current season of RHONY is a ratings flop, the breakout stars are Aviva's dad, and Lavetter," an insider told the gossip site. "Fans have very strong reactions to both of them as individuals, and of course as a couple. Dana's show doesn't have a working title yet, but will begin filming at the end of August."
The couple has stirred up the drama on this season of RHONY after announcing their engagement. The couple, who are 51 years apart, have drawn some pretty harsh criticism from the coupling, especially from Ramona Singer, who grilled Dana asking if she was mainly just after George's money.
"Aviva had no idea Dana was going to be getting her own show," the source revealed. "She will be featured on the spin-off, but she is a bit jealous that Dana will be the sole focus on her show."
While we think that there are more deserving people that should have gotten a spin-off before them, *cough cough* Heather, Carole, Kristen *cough, cough, just to name a few, we will definitely be tuning in to see what this show is going to be all about.
