The 2014 World Cup has been one of an amazing standard, but some are already getting excited for the start of the 2014 Premier League season. The teams are most certainly preparing for a hard season. Every World Cup year, teams seem to splash the cash looking to revamp their rosters and some look to increase their budgets through sales. The EPL may take a different shape with Adam Lallana and Paul Pogba set to join top sides, whilst Luis Suarez looks set to leave Liverpool for Barcelona, despite his biting ban.
Liverpool have been chasing after Southampton and England midfielder, Adam Lallana, for quite some time, but now the star is finished with the World Cup, he appears ready to move. Liverpool have agreed a $40 million fee to secure the deal, and they will pay him in the excess of $150,000 per week for his five-year contract. However, it's not all good news for Liverpool.
Liverpool's star player, Suarez, has received a nine match and four month ban for his biting offence while on World Cup duty. He will be out of action until November, and Liverpool had been fending off offers for the star, but are now tempted to sell. There was talk, before the biting ban, that they could fetch a fee in the region of $130 million, but now it's believed Barcelona could try and land the Uruguayan for around $85 million.
Chelsea are continuing to quietly strengthen their squad, and they're looking to secure a $50 million deal to land Ex-Manchester United prospect Paul Pogba, now of Juventus. Which of these deals could be the most important of the summer?
