'Fault in Our Stars' Actress Shailene Woodley Defends Miley Cyrus, Opens Up About Pot-Smoking Rumors In New Interview [PHOTO & VIDEO]

If you ask Hollywood's flower child Shailene Woodley about Miley Cyrus's antics on her BANGERS tour, the Divergent star will tell you to calm down! In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Woodley opened up about the pop star's effect on worried parents and even talked a bit about how people are convinced she smokes pot!

Shailene is very open about her lifestyle - eating clay and engrossing herself in the ways of the earth - so some assume she's also into weed. It turns out that isn't true!

She told Vanity Fair that a hike with a friend in his 40s included him asking her if she smoked pot. When she informed him she doesn't do that, he laughed and explained that, when he was younger, people that live an "alternative lifestyle" like she does were also into cannabis.

Shailene laughs at this fact and goes on with her ways!

Though Miley is pretty open about her pot-smoking, Woodley thinks concerned parents are worrying way too much about the "We Can't Stop" songstress.

"Miley isn't rude or mean or cruel to anyone in her actions. She just does herself," Shailene said. "And regardless of whether you agree with what she's doing or not, it's none of your business what she does. She's not in the world doing mean things. Why are all these parents or all these people freaking out about Miley being herself? If you don't want your kids to watch it, you know, you can change that situation at home, but don't make a big deal of what she's doing. Make a big deal about the bullies at school who are beating kids up."
