Filming on Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice is underway and numerous set photos have emerged in the past month or so. We've seen Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, the LexCorp building and a giant Superman statue, but we had yet to see star Henry Cavill until now.
The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund, a charity Cavill supports, posted a photo of the actor on set in which he holds up a T-shirt. But the really interesting part of the picture is Cavill's attire, which seemingly shows him in a full Clark Kent getup. He wears a brown coat with a bluish shirt and a gray tie, black shows and gray pants. His hair is slicked back in that classic clean-cut look, as well.
Cavill is not wearing the trademark Clark Kent glasses, but that could just be because he was not actually shooting a scene.
In other news, Deadline reports actor Scoot McNairy has joined Dawn of Justice in an unspecified role that "nobody at Warner Bros. will confirm." The article does not offer much more detail than that, but it's possible that he could play a superhero that gets a bigger role in Justice League, like Ray Fisher as Victor Stone aka Cyborg.
The Wrap later confirmed Deadline's report but said its sources are "sworn to secrecy" with regards to McNairy's role in the film.
Latino-Review's resident scoop expert El Mayimbe also chimed in on Twitter to hint that McNairy could play Nightwing. Fans may recall that Dick Grayson was one of the first characters rumored to play a small part in Batman V Supermanbefore joining the roster in Justice League. Back then, Adam Driver was tied to the role, but he has since joined the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII.
Other speculation maintains McNairy would play The Flash in Dawn of Justice. Either way, the actor would team up once again with Ben Affleck, with whom he worked on the Academy Award-winning Argo.
