Community is back from the dead. This week Yahoo! announced the show's resurrection on its new streaming video service, complete with other exclusive content. Show creator Dan Harmon confirmed the news with a magnificent post on Twitter, reigniting the series' mantra "Six Seasons and a Movie." We're getting the sixth season so let's keep our fingers crossed for a movie!
Here is Harmon's tweet, which was posted before the official announcement:
It's been so long since I've seen the young maiden. My love is stronger than my fear of death. #SixSeasonsAndAMovie

This obviously served mainly as a big hint at the deal, but the following post of Twitter from Yahoo! confirmed the news:
See you in the fall. #CommunityLivesOn pic.twitter.com/HSIzD0StT9 — Yahoo Screen (@YahooScreen) June 30, 2014
Then Harmon released a funny statement (taking a jab at NBC of course) about the big news.
"I am very pleased that Community will be returning for its predestined sixth season on Yahoo," he said. "I look forward to bringing our beloved NBC sitcom to a larger audience by moving it online. I vow to dominate our new competition. Rest easy, Big Bang Theory. Look out, BangBus!"
Series star Joel McHale also made a statement in regards to the news.
"#SixSeasonsAndaMovie is real. Thank you Sony. Thank you Yahoo. Thank you Dan Harmon," McHale said. "And thank you to the greatest f***ing fans in the history of the human race. It's the internet. We can swear now."
