Student Kendall Jones is creating quite the controversy after posting pictures of animals that she has hunted and killed to her Facebook page. The 19-year-old cheerleader sparked outrage when she posted a photo of herself smiling next to a recently killed lion.

That's right we said lion.

While some of us would think of hunting as killing deer and rabbits, Jones is taking it to an extreme, posing next to dead rhinos, leopard, elephants, zebras, and hippopotamus, all while wearing the biggest smile on her face.

Kendall is claiming that she is "doing [her] part in conservation to make a difference." However, she has now sparked animal rights activists to take a stand. Two petitions have been created against her, one of which has obtained over 100,000 signatures calling for the blonde cheerleader to remove the images from Facebook.

The petition, which is posted on AVAAZ.org is asking for help, stating "for the sake of all animals, especially the animals in the African region... where hunters are going for fun just to kill an animal."

Another petition is making its way around Change.org, which is actually asking for Ms. Jones to be denied access to African states.

Many critics have called the hunter "sick" for posting the pictures online. They see it as a way of her boasting about it, and think it is completely "depraved."

However, the Texas Tech student, who killed her first animal, a white rhino, when she was 13, spoke out saying that some of the animals in the images aren't even dead, but have been tranquilized for education purposes.

Not everyone is offended by these pictures. She currently has 17,000 likes on Facebook and is trying to host her own TV show starting in January of 2015.

Jones stands by her actions saying, "Hunters are the biggest conservationists there are. We want animal populations to grow and thrive!"
