Burger King, Burger Gay? The Fast-Food Chain Restaurant Selling Gay Burgers, "Proud Whopper" In Support For Gay Pride

Gay Pride is on the rise, and Burger King is included in it! The famous fast-food burger restaurant is selling gay burgers.

According to Gay Star News, Burger King sold, The Proud Whopper, a limited edition for one week in one city.

San Francisco customers enjoyed the whopper burger during Sunday's pride parade, anticipating what was inside.

When burger lovers unwrapped the rainbow wrapper to take a bite, they found it was exactly the same as any other burger.

But the interior is what was a nice surprise: "We Are All The Same Inside," the wrapper read.

The campaign was planned a few months ago, as the idea and Burger King's new slogan and tagline "Be Your Way," changed from the famous words of "Have It Your Way,"

"As a brand, we welcome everyone," a Burger King spokesman stated. "We felt the Proud Whopper could bring to life a message of equality, self-expression, authenticity and just being who you are."

Burger King took their new tagline, sponsoring pride parades in New York as well.

The history of Pride Parades includes, "the LGBT community events celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) culture and pride. The events also at times serve as demonstrations for legal rights such as same-sex marriage. Most pride events occur annually, and many take place around June to commemorate the Stonewall riots, a pivotal moment in modern LGBT social movements."

The next upcoming parade, will be held in Madrid, this week, and the next American parade is in Charlotte, North Carolina held in August.
