Lindsay Lohan follows through on her threats.
Lohan, 28, filed a lawsuit against the Grand Theft Auto V game makers Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. and its subsidiaries Rockstar Games and Rockstar North. Lohan alleges that the character of Lacey Jonas, a stereotypical Hollywood socialite from the game GTA V, resembles her.
Fox News reports Lohan alleges the company "incorporated her image, likeness, clothing, outfits, Plaintiff's clothing line products, ensemble in the form of hats, hair style, sunglasses, jean shorts worn by Plaintiff that were for sale to the public at least two years before the Defendant's release of the GTA V game."
The suit also says "the game also features Hotel Chateau (Marmont) in West Hollywood, a place where the Plaintiff once lived and often frequents."
The Lacey Jonas character says lines like, "I'm such a fat little piggy right now," and "The media love their little 'Emacy Jonas' jokes." In the past, Lohan had admitted to having an eating disorder in an interview with Vanity Fair.
This is not the first time Lohan has sued a company for allegedly using her likeness in an advertisement. In 2010 she sued E*Trade over a Super Bowl ad that made mention of "that milkaholic Lindsay." Lohan alleged that the commercial was referencing her. This case was settled outside of the courtroom with Lohan withdrawing her claim.
In 2011 she sued rapper Pitbull for using her name in a lyric of the song "Give Me Everything Tonight." However, that lawsuit was thrown out of court by the judge.
