Carl Froch's Knockout Victim Set For 2014 Fight: George Groves Will Take On European Champion Christopher Rebrasse

British boxer George Groves tired the world with his saying "everything for a reason". After losing to middleweight champion Carl Froch he believed that loss was to teach him how to dethrone the champion. However, in their May bout, things didn't go to plan and the challenger was knocked out with one of the most devastating knockout punches of all-time. Groves insisted he'd be back, and today he announced he will face European champion Christopher Rebrasse, with the bout also deciding the No. 1 contender for the WBC world super-middleweight title. Can Groves find the reason all of these bad things have come his way, or will it be a career-ending fight?

Groves, 26, will take on the champion at Wembley Arena on 20 September. He explained his joy at his return, saying "It's good to be back in boxing and back in at the deep end. It is great to be back at Wembley and back to world-class boxing. Last time I was here it didn't go as well as I would've hoped, but I think I have proved I belong here. Win this fight and I am back in the picture. I can't wait to be world champion and it will happen in the near future. It's good to be back in boxing and back in at the deep end."

After it's all said and done Groves might just become a champion in 2014, with the star aiming for an end of 2014 bout for the world title. After that, perhaps he'd like one more bout with Froch, although that's a fight either will not want.
