Melanie Griffith is getting rid of Antonio Banderas in more ways than one.
The actress, who announced her split from Banderas in June, stepped out yesterday with a bandage covering her arm tattoo. The heart-shaped tattoo has been one of Griffith's trademarks over the years, expressing her love for her now ex-husband by having his name "Antonio" written permanently on her body. Or perhaps, not so permanently.

The bandage is just one of her recent cover-ups for the infamous ink, but this time it looks like she is done with covering it up and wants to get it removed. The actress has been stepping out over the last few weeks with the tattoo looking more faded each time.

The couple got married back in 1996 and after 18 years of marriage have decided to call it quits.
They released a joint statement saying, "we have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost 20-year marriage in a loving and friendly manner honoring and respecting each other, our family, and friends and the beautiful time we have spent together."
The news of the tattoo removal comes shortly after reports came out claiming that during the marriage Antonio had been in relationships with multiple other women.

However, a source tells US weekly that the cheating rumors are false, stating, "There was no cheating on either side. They had fallen out of love awhile ago. Their daughter Stella is about to be 18 in September and they wanted to wait until [the] kids were grown and out of the house before they split up, but knew they would awhile ago. They stayed together for the sake of the kids."
