Angel Haze Named Goodwill Ambassador Of Arms Around The Child- Dirty Gold Rapper Says Its 'A Joy And Honor To Be Involved'

Rapper Angel Haze has just joined Arms Around the Child as a Global Ambassador.

The organization is the brainchild of Leigh Blake who created it in order to help and protect orphaned children and those in need in area of both India and Africa.

Blake has successfully launched both The Red Hot Organization and Keep A Child Alive, which have together raised over $50 million and has helped to save the lives of over 3 million people.

Leigh reached out to Haze after discovering her on the Rudeimental's track "Hell Could Freeze." After doing some research she stumbled across Angel Haze and learned of her troubled childhood. She felt that the rappers name and story could bring worldwide recognition to the organization and the cause.

"As a once underprivileged child, I feel it's important to provide children of similar destructive, limited, or abusive backgrounds not just the freedom to choose where they want to go and who they want to be, but the resources as well," Angel Haze said in a press release. "At the end of every day, I'd like to think I will have done all that I could to make someone else's journey a bit more comforting. I like to think that everyone can help in some way, and for me, it's an absolute joy and honor to be involved in a practice so exemplary."

Haze is busy working on her second studio album, while touring festivals in the UK. Earlier this year she leaked her debut album Dirty Gold after disputes with her record label.

Arms Around the Child is preparing for the "Other Ball" in New York which will happen in the Fall, and are planning a big fashion initiative for Valentine's Day of 2015.
