Only one thing was on the mind of Jessica Simpson and her new husband, Eric on their July 5 wedding day. "It's all about family for us," Simpson revealed in this weeks cover story for PEOPLE magazine. The magazine comes with 27 exclusive photos, as the newlyweds share their favorite memories of their special day.
PEOPLE revealed that Jessica's maids of honor included her mother, Tina, and her little sister, Ashlee, whom is set to marry Diana Ross' son, Evan Ross sometime in the future. The singer had 12 bridesmaids in her wedding party.
As for her former NFL star husband, Johnson's father, Stephen was the best man. Ross (Ashlee's fiance) was also involved in last weekend's nuptials stepping in a one of the 11 groomsmen.
The couple tied the knot, exchanging traditional vows, in a nondenominational ceremony that was officiated by Simpson's dad, Joe. Their two children, Maxwell, 2 was a flower girl, and Ace, 1 was the ring bearer. "Before I walked out, I kept hearing all the applause, so my kids got standing ovations!" Jessica said of her children.
Simpson made her entrance, wearing a wedding gown by Carolina Herrera surrounded by 275 guests, who witnessed the couple's happy day at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California.
"I saw my gorgeous wife coming towards me and she was crying," Johnson, 34 revealed. The former football star wore a custom charcoal gray John Varvatos tuxedo, added. "I think my heart was exploding a little bit."
Simpson added, "It's so surreal. This has been something we've wanted ever since we met."
