It looks like the 2012 London Olympics are going to be getting hit with some girl power. The Daily Mail is reporting that the Spice Girls are "95 percent" confirmed to perform at the closing ceremony of the Olympics.

The Spice Girls, the 90's British female pop group, consists of Geri Halliwell (Ginger), Emma Bunton (Baby), Melanie Chisolm (Sporty), Melanie Brown (Scary) and Victoria Beckham (Posh).

The five ladies, who reunited in 2008 for a reunion tour, were rumored to perform, but Beckham reportedly refused to participate. Beckham now seems to be changing her tune.

"I'm so respectful of my past and I love the other girls," the fashion designer explained on the John Murray Radio Show. "We have some fantastic fans."

The Spice Girl formerly known as Posh revealed that she would reunite for a "one-off show."

"I don't know about a comeback tour but I loved being back with the girls," she continued. "There was a lot of fun, we did so much together and we'll see. If they're up for something then I certainly am."

Since Beckham now seems to support the idea of a Spice Girl Olympic reunion, the Daily Mail reports that they are "moments away from signing on the dotted line."

So why the "95 percent?" Chisolm is currently a judge on TV talent show "Superstar," something that is making her rehearsal time hectic. Another factor is her recent break up from long time boyfriend Thomas Starr.

If the girls do officially sign on, they will be bringing their girl power to the stage for two songs. One of the songs the Spice Girls are said to perform is their 1996 hit "Wannabe." The Spice Girls will be sharing the stage with Take That, George Michael, Emelie Sande, Jessie J and The Who.

According to the Mirror, the Spice Girls will be breaking out all their old tricks, with Halliwell expected to wear one of her famous Union Flag ensembles

"We are so proud to be English and we are very excited about the Olympics," exclaimed Beckham.
