Lindsay Lohan 'Speed The Pow' - 'Mean Girls' Actress Vows Not To Miss A Single Show, 'It's Not In The Cards'

Lindsay Lohan who will be making her West End debut in David Mamet's play Speed-the-Plow in the next couple of months, vows that when it comes to the stage show that she will not miss any of her performances.

Lohan has gain a reputation for not being the most reliable actress when it comes to showing up on time (i.e. Georgia Rule), but during an interview with BBC she has insisted that she won't be penalized for missing any shows because "that's not going to happen. That's not on the cards. It's not," the actress states.

"I'm at a place in my life where I like the commitment. I'm looking forward to that part of it," Lohan explains.

The child-star turned tabloid magnet will star in the London stage production, which will run from late September to November in the UK.

It seems that Lindsay is taking this opportunity seriously as she says that she hopes that her 10-week run in the show will help her to gain some of the credibility back that she lost due to ongoing legal troubles, and crazy antics.

"I want to be known for my talents and my work that I create, rather than a tabloid sensation," the 28-year-old revealed.

As for why she chose to make her stage debut in London, she says that the UK has a different standard about actresses.

"There's a different standard to it here," she explains. "It seems more prestigious. It seems a bit more serious and that's something that I really want to experience. I've noticed here watching the news, you guys have a different outlook. In the US starting at 5pm, it's TMZ, it's all these shows talking about people's personal lives and here I don't notice any of that- it's news and politics and music."
