CM Punk left WWE the night after the Royal Rumble in January and has not been back to the company since. Now, the Best in the World has made his first public comments about the situation.
Punk went on Twitter on Wednesday night to deliver a message to the fans. "Nope, thank YOU," he wrote. "Thanks for all the help and support through the years. Health and happiness above all. Don't ever take any sh*t from anybody."
This message coincides with WWE.com putting Punk into its "Alumni" section, which likely means his contract with the company has expired.
In other news, Brock Lesnar could return to WWE television as soon as the next edition of Monday Night Raw on July 21 in Miami after the Battleground pay-per-view. There have also been some rumblings that Lesnar could make a surprise appearance at Battleground, but this is unlikely because of his contract.
On a related note, Paul Heyman was reportedly kept away from Cesaro on the latest Raw because of Lesnar's imminent return and WWE does not want to have Heyman managing both wrestlers at the same time.
Finally, Triple H teased a more substantial Sting appearance in WWE during his weekly chat with Michael Cole:
"There's been a lot of speculation over the years. Then again, over the years I had heard that Bruno Sammartino would never be part of the WWE again. I heard for years that the Ultimate Warrior would never be part of the WWE again. I've also heard that Sting would never, ever be part of the WWE. If there's one thing I've learned over the years, never say never if it's best for business."
