We want to dance with somebody, after hearing this news.

It was reported earlier this week that the Whitney Houston biopic is definitely going to feature some of the R&B singer's music in the film.

However, there is a catch. The songs won't be the originals sung by Houston, and they wont even be star Yaya DaCosta's vocals. Instead, it has been confirmed that singer Deborah Cox will be putting her own spin on the famous tracks for the movie.

A rep for the Lifetime network, where the Angela Bassett directed film will air, said that the "music rights and clearances are still being worked out," so we don't know the exact songs that will be making their way into the biopic just yet.

The film will mainly focus around Houston's relationship with Bobby Brown. Bassett, who starred with the late singer in the film Waiting to Exhale, told CNN recently that she just wanted to tell a story of two people who fell in love.

"I really just want to tell a story about a boy and a girl who fell in love," the director tells the news network. "And there are the words and this is the place, and these are the people on the outside, you know? And I wanted to be as honest as I can about doing that."

To do an honest portrayal of the relationship, Angela knows that she will have to touch on the couple's drug use.

"Well, we know that drugs were a part of their story and that's certainly an element of their story. We cant' tell their story without that. It's involved and I hope we can unpack it gently," Bassett explained.

The movie is currently filming and it is expected to air on the network in 2015.
