CM Punk sent out a tweet recently to nudge fans in which he said he would be starting "a podcast, a band and a fire." This of course stoked rumors that Punk would join Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, Jim Ross and other wrestling personalities in the podcast world.
And he will, but as a guest, not a host. Punk will do his first podcast since his exit from WWE when he joins Chris Hardwick on the Nerdist podcast for a live taping from San Diego on July 26. For those unaware, this is the place and time of Comic-Con 2014, an appropriate setting for Hardwick and Punk. This will be Punk's first major interview since his WWE departure.
On that subject, rumors are circulating that Punk and WWE came to terms on his departure before WWE.com moved him to the alumni section and before Punk sent out a tweet thanking fans for their support.
In other news, current reports maintain that if Undertaker decides to return for another match, and that is a gargantuan if, then he would face Sting at WrestleMania 31. Granted, this rumor has been floating around for some time and this is still a long way off, so take it with a grain of salt.
Brock Lesnar is scheduled to return on the next Monday Night Raw, which will start the build to SummerSlam on Aug. 17. Interestingly, John Cena will not be there because of a film commitment, so WWE has reportedly planned a major angle with Lesnar in his absence.
Finally, Bray Wyatt said in a recent interview that he is not playing a character on TV and that he is not making stuff up when he speaks. It's entirely possible he was just maintaining a level of kayfabe, but it is still an extremely interesting interview, so check it out here.
