The AMC drama, the much missed Breaking Bad received top honors at the 30th Annual Television Critics Association Awards as Program of the Year for the second year in a row. Bad was honored for its powerful final season send off.
Individual achievement awards went to Matthew McConaughey for his work on HBO's True Detective in drama, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus for comedy in her lead role on HBO's Veep. Louis-Dreyfus is only the fourth woman to win the comedy prize - in past years Jane Kaczmarek won for Malcolm in the Middle, Tina Fey for 30 Rock, and Jane Lynch for Glee.
The TCA's are often a predictor of the Emmys (which will air August 25th) and are voted on by the complete membership of the Critics Association.
The Awards were held in Beverly Hills on Saturday night and were emceed by Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host and Brooklyn Nine Nine star, Terry Crews.
