Sure, Brooks Wheelan might have been fired from Saturday Night Live, but that doesn't mean the stand up comedian is done for good. It's been announced via Wheelan's Tumblr page that the former SNL player – who was recently let go alongside other fellow newcomers Noël Wells and John Milhiser – is gearing up for a new stand up tour.
Wheelan was "released" from his SNL contract just last week, and has been bouncing back with a (hilarious) vengeance, setting off a long string of tweets and Instagram photos, such as the below post that carries the caption "My sign off on the ceiling of the SNL offices..."
Adding to that, Wheelan tweeted the below out a few days ago:
Whats the protocol on length of departure from SNL and your "Best Of" DVD coming out. So stoked to see mine. Bet it's super long...

Proving himself to be a true professional, the comedian is totally making light of a negative situation.
While most would undoubtedly crumble at losing their dream gig at SNL, the LA-bred comic appears to have nothing but a sense of humor. Wheelan plans to kick off the tour tomorrow (July 22) and end it in November. He will make stops in Montreal, New York, Amsterdam, Connecticut, Indiana, Seattle, Los Angeles and St. Louis.
