Charlie Hunnam, the hunky star of the FX drama, Sons of Anarchy, really doesn't care about the Emmy Awards ceremony. The main lead of the biker TV show isn't that upset about the TV Academy snub, as long as he gets flip them off with his middle finger.
As we all know, the Emmys have a way of looking the other way when it comes down to genre TV shows. In case you need another example, check out The Walking Dead here. For a highly-rated show that mixes crime, motorcycles, and Shakespeare, the Kurt Sutter drama has never received any attention for its stellar performances and writing.
While the outspoken Sutter has been vocal about the rejection, the Pacific Rim actor released a four letter word during the Television Critics Association's summer press tour. The Hollywood Reporter was there in the audience, when the Emmy snub came up during the Q&A session.
In words of Jax Teller, Hunnam lets loose about being how he really feels about the award ceremony, "Lest we forget, it doesn't matter at all. I feel there's this perception that we're upset about this and...I really don't give a sh*t."
The foul-mouthed outburst received a huge laugh from the cast and producers. The Children of Men actor reveals that real thespians care about the craft, than winning awards.
The Sons of Anarchy star continues, "I make this for the people that watch the show and I really care about the work that I do and for my friends that watch it. People don't appreciate it. You can't win them all."
As mentioned here, you can catch Hunnam in the Calvin Klein 'Reveal' campaign. Checkout the final season trailer here:
