The SLC Punk sequel, appropriately titled Punk's Dead, is definitely coming together and a teaser trailer released this week has fans of the original film pretty excited! Thanks to returning cast members like Devon Sawa, Michael Goorjian, Adam Pascal and James Duval, this new story will at least make us all feel nostalgic about the previous cult classic film!

Watch the first teaser trailer, featuring the return of Heroin Bob (despite dying in the first film), right here:

So it looks like Bob will serve as narrator in this sequel as his son, Ross, (portrayed by Ben Schnetzer) is coming of age just as he and his friends did in the original movie. Hopefully Ross doesn't end up like his father, though there's a hint of drug use in this teaser.

Other than following the new story, it looks like the returning characters all come back together while trying to track down their deceased friend's son. Sean, John and even Eddie return and interact for some scenes that will have fans of the original film pretty happy.

We also should mention that Stevo is apparently returning in this story, though original star Matthew Lillard isn't billed in the cast. Either he has yet to film his scenes or the iconic Salt Lake City punk has been recast. He has gained some fame so we shouldn't expect a return for this low-budget sequel. The same goes for Jason Segel, who played Mike in the 1998 movie.
