'Teen Beach Movie 2' Disney Channel Musical In Production - Ross Lynch, Maia Mitchell & Garrett Clayton To Star

It's time to head back to the beach.

Disney Channel has just announced that they are busy at work on a follow up to the hit flick Teen Beach Movie.

Filming on the upcoming musical is set to start this month with an expected release date of 2015.

The original movie musical was the second highest viewed TV movie of all time, so it's a no-brainer that Disney would want to capitalize on the success of it by making a second one.

And we are happy to announce that all of your surfers and bikers favs are back to reprise their roles including, Ross Lynch, Maia Mitchell, and Garrett Clayton.

TVLine is reporting that also set to hit the surf and sun are stars Grace Phipps, John DeLuca, Jordan Fischer, Chrissie Fit, Mollee Gray, Jessica Lee Keller, Will Loftis, and Kent Boyd.

"If they feel like they have a story that's worth telling, they'll put all their energy and support behind it," director Jeffrey Hornaday told Hollywood Life in 2013 about a possible sequel. "I like that they don't go somewhere with things when they don't know what to do; once they zero in on something organic, like the last one was, I'm sure they're going to jump in hard."

With the news that the whole cast and crew are returning for round two we can only imagine how well this film will done. Maybe it will even become the most watched TV movie of all time.
