Louis Van Gaal might just be the perfect manager for Manchester United. Everything he does is serious, which is what a club once managed by Sir Alex Ferguson, needs. He had suggested his team's trip to USA wouldn't be relaxing, and it seems he was right. The Premier League club went head-to-head with MLS side LA Galaxy, destroying them in their stunning 7-0 victory. United played well throughout and rarely looked in first-gear against a strong Galaxy side. Is Van Gaal the man to make United great again?

LA Galaxy (4-1-3-2) Penedo; Gargan, Meyer, Leonardo, DLG; Ishizaki, Sarvas, Juninho, Husidic; R Keane, Zardes

Manchester United (3-4-1-2) De Gea; Smalling, Jones, Evans; Valencia, Fletcher, Herrera, Shaw; Mata; Rooney, Welbeck.
Second-half - (5-3-2) Lindegaard; Rafael, M Keane, Fletcher, Blackett, James; Herrera, Cleverley, Kagawa; Young, Nani.

Referee: B Toledo (USA)

Goals were spread across the team, with every United player looking to impress, showing they are more than good enough to help the new-look United for years to come. Van Gaal had an impressive World Cup, and a mere two weeks later, he and his new team were impressing the world once again. The game took place in the Pasadena Rose Bowl, with over 86,000 fans watching the impressive display, in which the fully-fit Galaxy never looked like threatening.

Could United pull off a shock and be an elite team in the EPL once again? It seems that Van is most definitely the man, for Manchester United. With more signings on their way, just how good could they be?
