'Doctor Who' Season 8 Episodes, Rumors & Spoilers: Will Peter Jackson Direct 2014 BBC Series? Steven Moffat Teases Plots For Upcoming 12 Episodes

Whovians around the world will be happy to hear that Doctor Who head writer Steven Moffat is in opens talks with Academy Award winning filmmaker Peter Jackson about directing a new episode of the iconic BBC series, with new Doctor Peter Capaldi. Will we see the Jackson-directed episode in season 8? If his schedule permits - yes!

"He's still incredibly busy on The Hobbit. I've spoken to him face to face and he would like to do one," Moffat said. "He accepts that there's no money and that there's no time and it would have to be when he's available - and I don't think he's even been available enough to answer our emails of late!"

Jackson's next film, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, hits theaters this December, so hopefully once production on the movie is complete he can start talking to Moffat again!
