The title of Jake Gyllenhaal's new movie Nightcrawler might have some X-Men comic book fans a bit confused. Jake isn't portraying the Marvel character in the film (slated for an October 17, release date); he's playing an aspiring crime journalist willing to do anything to get a newsworthy story. Writer/director Dan Gilroy invited audiences into this creepy world of mayhem with out first extended trailer released this week.

From the looks of this trailer, Gyllenhaal lost some weight to portray the character Lou Bloom in Nightcrawler. He definitely looks the part of a desperate man trying to make it in Los Angeles. After discovering the world of crime journalism, what lengths will he go to make a mark on the industry and to get a compelling story?
