Model Candice Huffine, 29, is the first plus-size model to grace the pages of the legendary Pirelli Calendar for 2015.
"My presence on this set-the most glamorous in the world-is a sign that things are really changing," Huffine told British Vogue.
Shot by famed photographer Steven Meisel and styled by Carine Roitfeld, this year's calendar is all about fetishism. The current roster includes Adriana Lima, Natalia Vodianova, Raquel Zimmermann, Isabeli Fontana, Sasha Luss, Anna Ewers, Carolyn Murphy, Cameron Russell, Joan Smalls, Karen Elson, and rookie model Gigi Hadid.
Hadid, the daughter of Yolanda Foster (herself a former model and currently star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) and real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, said of her photo, "I'm wearing all latex in one shot, which is very cool. I've never worn latex before, but everyone's, like, telling me that it would suck because you get all sweaty and you can't breathe. But I really like it and now I want latex leggings."
Model Joan Smalls said of her photo, "I loved the character I had to play. I used to box and it was related to boxing, but they didn't have me box. It was character-driven -- like a boxer mixed with a dominatrix."
The Pirelli calendar is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and while it's one of the world's most-talked about calendars, very few have ever actually seen a finished product. It can't be bought. The calendar is sent out to a select, elite few. Supermodels Iman, Gisele Bündchen, Helena Christensen, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, and Cindy Crawford have graced its pages in past years.
