It wouldn't be San Diego Comic-Con without an appearance by Supernatural, and the long-running CW show was on hand again at the huge event over the weekend. The panel introduced a new clip from Season 10 that offers a first look at Demon Dean (Jensen Ackles).

Ackles directed the third episode, though the crew shot it first in the production order. The actor introduced a clip at the panel that shows Dean confronting Sam (Jared Padalecki) for the first time since the elder Winchester brother turned into a demon in the Season 9 finale.

"Guys like me, we're the natural order," Dean tells his brother. Dean says he knows what he really is and what Sam did while he was searching for him, so who is the real monster? Dean then attacks his brother with an axe as Sam puts a knife to Dean's throat.

Dean's new status will "have an enormous effect on the season on the brothers," showrunner Jeremy Carver said at the panel, according to TVLine. "These boys really dig into, Sam in particular, how to rescue his brother from being a demon." Dean will also ""struggle with what it means to be a demon. It's very, very exciting. We're really excited most of all with the idea of these brothers questioning who the real monster is. It's exciting and very moving and emotional."

Ackles said during the panel that Demon Dean gets to cut loose. During filming last week, the character killed someone on Tuesday, beat someone on Wednesday and then did both on Thursday, which the actor said was "awesome" because he got to take out his frustrations. Padalecki, who has played numerous versions of Sam, said "it's a real joy to get to see Ackles flex those muscles."

Finally, Ackles revealed that Demon Dean was easier to direct in this episode "because he was tied up most of the time," which drew cheers from the audience.
