R&B singer Alicia Keys has partnered with IDW Publishing to expand the groundbreaking storytelling app, Mama Mae & LeeLee, into an upcoming children's book. The first story, Blue Moon: From The Journals Of Mama Mae And LeeLee will bring readers to a vibrant and heartfelt tale that is fit for all-ages
In the narrative, LeeLee is a creative young girl who struggles with moving to a new city. Aided by her loving grandmother, Mama Mae, LeeLee is introduced to tales built around the four pillars that come with a coming-of-age tale. Leelee will only be able to recognize her true potential if she goes through authenticity, empowerment, self-confidence, and exploration.
The story arc is written by the Grammy winner, Jessica Walton, Cheryl Abood, and Victoria Racino. Bento Box Interactive will present the captivating visuals for newbie parents and child users. IDW will be distributing the hardcover adaptation of Blue Moon.
The Girl On Fire songstress expresses her joy about the themes of wonder and awe, "What I love about the book is that it keeps the spirit and values we admire about Mama Mae and LeeLee alive. While also introducing them to new characters that bring their own personalities and real life lessons to the magical world."
