With the summer blockbuster quickly approaching, Marvel Entertainment has unleashed their intergalactic ragtag team, the Guardians of the Galaxy, upon Wall Street. Before their film's premiere, stars Chris Pratt (Parks And Recreations) and Zoe Saldana (Avatar) rang the Opening Bell at the New York Stock Exchange.
In the Marvel Universe, Peter Quill (Pratt) was abandoned by his father when he was just a child. Upon discovering his biological parent was actually a high ruler in outer-space, the orphan studied and worked his way up to leave Earth. Gamora (Saldana) is the adopted daughter of the super villain Thanos. With their daddy issues combined, the two formed the unbeatable and reckless 'Guardians of the Galaxy.'
The movie stars arrived to ring the bell at the star-studded NYSE. The Lego movie voice actor arrived in a low-key but casual sweater vest, blue jeans, and faded boots. The Star Trek actress stuns in a glowing white dress, which highlights her wonderful baby bump.
In one of the photos, notice the duo standing next to the cosplayed dressed as Star-Lord. The costume is spot-on with its brown trench coat and space mask. With the trio standing together, doesn't this make you even more excited to see the sci-fi/action flick?
Just like they did with San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel has released the opening bell ceremony on their website. Notice how the poster is in full view in the background. The popular comic book publisher participated in the event before, with Captain America: The Winter Solider and its stars.
